Below clients will find a set of tools arranged in step-by-step order to locate homes in highly sought after areas. Property values in these areas hold their value over time due to the desirability of the area and schools. A fixer property purchased and updated in desirable areas, depending upon your investment, are more likely to increase the market value of the property. A buyer increases their net worth by increasing owner equity. Keep in mind, all properties on the Multiple Listing Service will NOT be listed on this resource.
The tools below will help you locate areas that tend to retain their value due to great performing schools.
Step 1 – To locate a zip code in an area you are interested in purchasing a home, click the PORTLAND METRO AREA “PMA Zip Code Locator” button below. NOTE: You will use the zip code of interest for the tool in “Step 2.”

IS IT A WISE INVESTMENT?
Step 2 – It’s no secret, the smartest real estate investments are purchased in residential areas with high performing schools. Find top performing schools AND homes in the neighborhoods of interest to you from the ZIP CODE LOCATOR above and enter it in the search bar on this site. Click “Search Homes by Schools” button below.
On the site: Click the “Homes for Sale” link on the higher performing schools to see the homes available in that district area.
KNOW WHAT YOU’RE SEEING!
Step 3 – INSPECT THE AREA, before show time! It is always smart to have some background knowledge on the property, so that you can make adequate comparisons. Visit Google Earth to view aerial and street views of the properties that interest you. Click the “Google Earth” button below.
INSTRUCTIONS at Google Earth site, click “LAUNCH” click the magnifying glass icon located near the top of the left hand tool column, then type the address of interest in the search bar that appears.
